Ronald Francis Vivier, son of Alexander Vivier, Sr. and Alice (Amoyette) Vivier, was born January 10, 1938 in Belcourt, North Dakota. He passed from this life after a long illness Monday, November 5, 2018 at Bryan west Medical Center, Lincoln, Nebraska. He was 80 years of age. Ronald served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, he worked for the Burlington-Northern Railroad until he retired in 1991. Because of his love for the outdoors, Ronald worked for the Nebraska Parks service from 2001 until 2007. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed watching the “old” western movies. Ronald was united in marriage to Lynn Buell on June 17, 1988 and she continues to reside in their home in Chester, Nebraska. Other survivors include his children: Ronette Vivier, Lincoln, Nebraska, Jeffery Vivier, Chester, Tina (Dusty) Bernhardt, Olathe, Kansas, and Tammy (John) Musil, Weeping Water, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; his brothers Louis and Raymond Vivier; sisters Donna Vivier, Jeraldine Wilson, and Carol James; other relatives and friends. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Jimmy, Jr., Alexander, Jr., Cora Smitley, Luella Burcham, Joyce Vivier, Shirley Jenson, Stephen Vivier, and Mary Vivier.
