Alice Courtney

Alice (Willson) Courtney, 86, of Chester, NE, passed away on February 17, 2014, at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE after a long illness. She was born in Portis, KS on March 16, 1927, thedaughter of Robert and Viola (Atwood) Willson.

Alice lived quietly in Chester, NE much of her life and operated Willson Hardware for a number of years.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert Courtney; grandson, Jamie Welchans; son-in-law, James Welchans; daughter-in-law, Mary Riggs; sister-in-law Maxine Willson; and niece Jeanne Peck.

Those who will cherish her memory include her two sons, Steve Riggs and William Riggs and his wife Susan both of Chester, NE; daughter Clarice Welchans; grandson, Jody Welchans of Texas; brothers, Jack Willson of Nebraska City, NE, Robert Willson and wife Faye of Miami, FL, and Ormal Willson and wife Helen of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews, step children, cousins, and numerous friends who will miss her.

Following Alice's wishes she was cremated and memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2014 atPrice Funeral Home Chapel, Hebron, NE.
