Billy Eugene Tittler

Billy Eugene Tittler, born on May 13, 1931 in Deshler, to Charles and Marie (Collier) Tittler, passed away on April 20, 2025, in Hebron, at the age of 93.

Billy grew up in Deshler and graduated with the class of 1952. He was drafted into the US Army in June of 1955, and honorably discharged and transferred to the Army Reserves in June 1957.

Upon returning home, he went to work at the Deshler Broom Factory until it closed, and then worked at Reinke Manufacturing until his retirement.

Billy was the custodian of Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler for many years, where he was a longtime member.

He was united in marriage to Sandra W. Glathar on November 7, 1986, at the Presbyterian Church in Hebron. Sandra passed away in 1999, and Billy remarried to Donna Schmidt in December of 2002.

Billy enjoyed woodworking and making clocks, and was an avid photographer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Sandra, second wife Donna, sister Melby Lilian Walters and her husband Edson, and sister Frances Elizabeth Willmore and her husband Don.

He is survived by his step-children, Kevin Glathar (Malinda), Brenda Steinhauser (Steve), and Merle Glathar. Billy is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE with Pastor Joseph Love officiating.   Memorials are requested to the Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler, NE, and may be mailed to Price Funeral Home, PO Box 187, Hebron, Nebraska 68370.
