Bonnie W. Hofts, the daughter of Clyde and Jewel (Sprague) Williams, was born January 29, 1924 in Hubbell, NE. She passed from this life on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 89.
She was raised on the family farm near Mahaska until she graduated from Mahaska High School. Bonnie attended Omaha Business School and after worked as a secretary for the Fairmont Air Base until she was united in marriage to Victor Hofts on October 6, 1948 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Fairbury, NE. To this union 5 children were born. She returned to farming with her husband after they were married. The family moved to Hebron in 1956 where she continued her secretarial work for the next 20 years at the PCA office.
Bonnie enjoyed making quilts, baking, playing cards, dancing and participating in her children’s activities.
Those that preceded her in death are her parents; her husband, Vic; sister, Dorothy Eisenman; infant sister Jeweletta; granddaughter, Miranda Taylor; and son-in-law, Ron Taylor.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses; Ken and Nancy Hofts of Hebron, NE, Linda and Allen Hillgren of Lincoln, NE, Barbara and Gene Seipel of Glencoe, MN, Roger and Theresa Hofts of Loup City, NE, and Nancy Taylor of Hebron, NE; grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Kristen Hofts, Amanda Hofts, Mike and Enid Hillgren, Leah and Marc Cathey, Charlie Seipel, Paul and Alyssa Seipel, John Seipel, Andrea and Kevin Dezingle, Doug and Tuesday Hofts, and Aaron Taylor; and great grandchildren, Alex, Austin, Mason, and Kellen Hofts, Austin and Katelyn Hillgren, Gabriel, Emma, Iris, and Veronica Cathey, Haley and Peyton Dezingle, and Hayden Taylor.
Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hebron with Father Rudy Oborny officiating. A Rosary will be prior to the service at 10:15 AM on Saturday December 14, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Price Funeral Home in Hebron. Interment will be in Hebron City Cemetery following the service. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
