Cheryl Lynn Markey

Cheryl L. Markey, 53, of Hebron, NE, passed away on February 15, 2014, at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE. She was born in Alamogordo, NM on December 6, 1960, thedaughter of John and Betty (Watson) DuBois. She grew up in a military family and graduated from Galena High School in Kansas. Cheryl joined the United States Army on April 24, 1979 and was honorably discharged on July 16, 1982. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, John Arthur DuBois, Jr. Those who will cherish her memory include her children, Amber Hernandez of Beatrice, NE and Kenneth Jensby and his special friend Ashley Bowers, of Lincoln, NE; special friend Arlie Riffle of Hebron, NE; sisters and their spouses, Phyllis and Frank Aldrich of Kansas, Teresa and Gary Watson of Hebron, NE, Mary Petersen and Earl Campbell of Hebron, NE and Susan Lassley of Lincoln, NE; brothers and their spouses, Robert and Catherine Butcher of Kansas, and Chuck and Leslie Butcher of New Mexico; grandchildren, Juan and Jose Hernandez and Ava Bowers; nieces and nephews, Danielle Jones, Scott Jones, Tyler Jones, Eric Jones, Tyler Watson, Joe Clay, Brent Watson, Mike Brinkman, Ashley Petersen, Nicole Petersen, Chris Campbell, Curtis Campbell, and Kylie Campbell.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the First Community Church in Hebron, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
