Dan Hoffmeyer

Dan Valentine Hoffmeyer, son of William and Esther, brother of Dean, father of Nathan John and Erin Elizabeth, father-in-law of Margo Kay, grandfather of Shane Christopher, husband of Nancy, joined this world on September 27, 1950 and left us on May 4, 2016, after fighting the good fight against cancer. Dan grew up and lived his life in the Deshler area, and spent his years well. He was a friend to many, loved by all who had the immense pleasure and honor of knowing him. To say he will be missed does not even begin to describe the loss we feel. He was a friend, brother, husband, father, tv repair man, a bit of a hippie, a fan of over-explaining things, and a lover of nature, as was evident by the family farm he cared for. He lived simply and deliberately and found solace and peace listening to the wind whispering to him through the pine trees.

Funeral arrangements are through Price Funeral Home in Hebron and all family and friends are encouraged and welcome to join us at Hebron City Cemetery, Saturday, May 7 ^th , at 9:30 AM for graveside services and inurnment. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that you please plant a tree in his honor.
