Deloris C Debus

Deloris Christine (Andersen) Debus, 'Dee', was born August 21, 1926 to L.M. and Dora (Jensen) Andersen on a farm near Ruskin, Nebraska. She passed peacefully to her heavenly home Sunday, August 19, 2018, 2 days short of her 92nd birthday. She graduated from Ruskin High School in 1944, valedictorian of her class. After high school, she attended Lincoln School of Commerce and worked for Lincoln Drug Company for 16 years, where she met the love of her life, John Debus. They were married May 30, 1959, and soon after moved back to Ruskin to farm and raise their family. To their union were born 3 children, Daryl, Jay, and Christine. Dee was a founding member of New Life Assembly in Hebron, NE, loving and dedicated wife, mother, and active in the church. She loved music and singing, and always put others needs above her own. She was an example to everyone that knew her. Preceded in death by her parents, L.M. and Dora Andersen, her husband, John Debus, and her daughter, Christine Kucera. Survived by: her sister, Arlet Schiermeyer, Superior; sons, Daryl (Barbara) Debus, Lincoln, and Jay Debussy, St Petersburg, FL; son-in-law, Todd Kucera, Hastings; grandson, Justin Debus, Omaha; great-grandchildren, Janaya Debus, Josephine Debus, Jonathan Debus, Omaha; and a host of beloved in-laws, nephews, nieces, and friends. Her bright happiness and love and care for others shall be sorely missed by all.
