Eldon LeRoy Buster entered into eternal peace July 10, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, Ne at the age of 66 years. Eldon was born to the late Eldon "Dean" Buster and Iva Kindler Buster on July 2, 1951. Eldon was baptized at Mankato Christian Church in Mankato, Kansas on July 2, 1960. Eldon grew up on a farm and attended elementary and secondary school at Mankato High School where he graduated in 1969. Eldon enjoyed spending time with his grandparents and helping at the hatchery with his dad. Eldon joined the United State Marine Corps in February of 1970 and was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal (E-3) in February of 1976. Eldon and Monica Louise Sloane were united in marriage on August 12, 1972 at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Superior, Nebraska. This union was blessed with five children, who they raised in Deshler, Nebraska. Eldon made is Profession of Faith at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on April 4, 1987 and was Confirmed and received into the church April 5, 1987 by Monsignor William Rezabek. Eldon worked 32 years at Reinke Manufacturing from February of 1977 until he retired in August of 2009. Eldon spent the majority of his career as the supervisor of the Fabrication Department where he enjoyed the work he did and the lasting friendships he gained with people from various departments. Eldon enjoyed raising various animals, gardening, camping, fishing, hunting, but especially loved attending his children’s sporting events. Eldon enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and recently his great grandchildren. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Eldon also loved the fact that many other kids considered him and called him their grandpa. Eldon’s favorite African Grey Parrot "Wagger" held a special place in his heart. Eldon was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an honorary 4 th Degree Knight. In 2006, Eldon became a member of the Cursillo movement and cherished the deep and lasting relationships and friendships that grew from being active in Cursillo and in the parish. Eldon looked forward to the time on Fridays visiting and receiving Communion with Father Rudy Oborny and the jokes they shared. Eldon also enjoyed visiting with the fellow parishioners who would bring him Communion as well. Eldon prayed daily for family, friends, and those in need. Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Sheila and brother-in-law Bob; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Clair and Edith Sloane; brother-in-law Pat Sloane; brother-in-law Claude "Bud" Studdard; nephew Trevor; and nieces Sandy and Kim. Eldon is survived by his wife; sons Jeremy (Norma) Buster, Mike (Melinda) Buster, Thad (Shannon) Buster; daughters Cammy (Chris) Jacobe and Elisha Buster; sisters Karen Young, Judy Studdard, Barb (Eric) Martin; grandchildren Josh, Jacob, MaKenzie, McKenna, Dezarae, Halie, Zoe, Michael, Adian, Alexis, Kaelyn, Jordin, Avery, Ainsley, Adi, Chandler (Cheyanna), Corben, Cadence, and Chaysten; great granddaughters, Izabella and Scarlette; former daughter-in-law Lisa McKee (Jace, Caitlyn); brothers-in-law Bill Sloane, Bob (Lavonna) Sloane, Don (Peggy) Sloane, John (Ginger) Sloane; sisters-in-law Teresa (Joe) Wilson, Karen (Ron) Harwell, Janice (Chuck) Hatzenbuehler, Jennifer (Alan) Wyatt; former sisters-in-law Cheri and Denise, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
