Florence Marie Eickmann

Florence Marie Schardt was born in York, NE to Henry C and Emilie (Albrecht) Schardt on December 16th, 1930 along with her twin sister, Frances. She passed away June 27th, 2024 at the age of 93 at Heritage Crossings in Geneva. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Friedensau. She attended North Trinity Lutheran School until the 8th grade. She graduated from Deshler, NE in 1949. She lived on her parents farm south of Carleton, NE and helped farm until 1953. On April 5th, 1953 Florence married Delmar Eickmann at Trinity Lutheran Church, Friedensau. Together they lived on a farm west of Deshler, NE until they moved to Sedan, NE in 1957. At this time they became members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Davenport, NE. Their union was blessed with four children, Cynthia Ann, Pauline Marie, Julie Kay, and Kurt Delmar. Florence had many hobbies including sewing and quilting for friends and family. She also made and  donated many blankets  to charities. She loved to spend time with family.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband Delmar; parents Henry & Emilie; daughter Pauline Marie; six sisters, three brothers, four sister- in-laws along with their spouses; and son-in-law Lee Maendele. She is survived by her children, Cynthia (David) Montague and Julie Maendele, both of Hastings, NE and Kurt (Deb) Eickmann of Edgar, NE. Grandchildren: Nic (Jotie) Montague, Brandon (Sarah) Maendele, Ben Maendele, Shawni May, Chris (Jacey) Eickmann, and Cody Eickmann. Great Grand-children: Isaiah Eickmann; Kennedy, Stella and Collins Montague; Nolan, Nash and Nora Maendele; Reagyn and Braxton May, Landon Kleier; Calvin and Austin Eickmann. She is also survived by sister-in-law Eileen Stych of Hampton, NE and many other beloved relatives and friends.
