Floyd E. Sommerville

Floyd E. Sommerville, the son of John and Mary ( Graves ) Sommerville, was born on June 5, 1922, in Las Animas, Colorado . He passed away on August 11, 2011, at the Heritage Care Center in Fairbury , Nebraska , at the age of 89 years. Floyd was united in marriage to Virginia Ross in 1944. This union was blessed with two daughters and one step daughter. He worked for Jefferson County as a road maintainer until his retirement in 1984. Floyd enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting. He was a faithful member of the New Life Assembly Church in Hebron . He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia; two sisters, Mary Smith and Mildred Wilkens; and two brothers, Orville Sommerville and John (Alvie) Sommerville. He is survived by three daughters,Glorene Fitzpatrick of Cleburne , Texas ; Joyce Clow of Eddy , Texas ; and Naomi Taylor of Algoma , Wisconsin ; one brother, Ollen Sommerville of Arlington , Texas ; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and
nephews.
