Hilda Clara Helena Dageforde was the daughter of Henry Sporing and Helena (Juedes) Sporing. She was born December 3, 1921 at the Sporing family farm home near Friedensau, Nebraska. She was baptized on December 11, 1921 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Friedensau by Pastor H. Schlabacker. Hilda attended Trinity Lutheran Parochial South School through the 8 ^th grade. She was confirmed on May 24, 1936 at Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor Theo Droegemueller. She attended Deshler High School through the 9 ^th grade. She was a member of Trinity Walther League and sang in the choir. On December 28, 1941 Hilda was united in marriage with Carl Dageforde at Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor Theo Droegemuller. They lived on and farmed the Sporing family farm. This marriage was blessed with two children, son Roger and daughter Marlys. Hilda loved her children and grandchildren and taught them the importance of trusting in the Lord for guidance, the love of God and family. She was a devoted wife working with her husband doing the farm work. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery work. She worked off the farm part time at Ells Café for 10 years and in the potato fields every spring & fall potato harvest. Hilda passed from this life Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Blue Valley Nursing Home, Hebron, Nebraska at the age of 95 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 2006; her parents; two sisters Olinda Sporing and Evelyn Harms of Hebron; sisters-in-law Esther Dormeier, Columbus, NE, Luella Jacoby, Toledo, OH, Elizabeth Dageforde, Anderson, IN, and Lavern Dageforde, Hebron, NE. She will be forever remembered by her son Roger A. Dageforde and wife Linda of Crete, NE and daughter Marlys Dageforde of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren: John Dageforde and wife Teri, Lincoln, NE, Matt Dageforde and wife Jenny, Lincoln, NE, Lance Hill and wife Tiffany, Omaha, NE, and Ashley Hill, San Antonio, TX; great grandchildren Tyler Dageforde, Lincoln, NE. Megan Dageforde, Aurora, NE, Madalyn Dageforde, Luke Dageforde, both of Lincoln, NE, and Ryker Hill, Omaha, NE; great, great grandson Cason Bamesberger, Lincoln,. NE; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 16, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church (Friedensau), rural Hebron, Nebraska with the Reverend Jose Flores officiating. Lois Pohlmann played for the congregational singing of Amazing Grace, What A Friend We Have In Jesus, and I Know My Redeemer Lives. Burial was in the church cemetery. Casket bearers were Fred Schmidt, Rodney Holtzen, Dale Holtzen, Scott Elting, Brad Elting, Tony Elting, Merlen Schnakenberg. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Fund or the Blue Valley Nursing Home. Price-Urbauer-Ahrendts Funeral Homes, Hebron, Davenport, Deshler, Nebraska was in charge of these arrangements.
