Jack Clinton Walls was born May 11, 1938 to Luther and Mattie (Cane) Walls in Alexandria. He departed this life on March 12, 2025, in Hebron. Like his brothers Luther Jr and Roger, and his sister Helen, he was delivered at the home place. Jack graduated from Alexandria High School in 1956. Jack met Jencina (Pickett) at a youth center in Fairbury and was married April 5, 1959. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters. Jack grew up and lived the majority of his life in Alexandria. He was proud to be a farmer and liked to share farm stories and fish. When not farming he sold the High Plains Journal, another way he got to travel the county and talk with other farmers. He was passionate about the Alexandria Cemetery and served the board for many years. He took pride in his heritage and family, and the fact he was able to farm land that had been in the family since 1882. Even after moving to Hebron he enjoyed his coffee groups, car rides, and driving through the Alexandria State Lakes.
Jack is survived by his daughters Marie (Francis) Rauner and Jolene (Roy) Beckmann; grandchildren Lynn (Craig) Martin, Jonathan (Erin) Rauner and Brittney Beckmann; and 4 great granddaughters Aislyn, Alivia, Jencina and Vivienne; his sisters-in-law Gweneth Walls, Melvina Raney, and brother-in-law Ben Pickett; nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife Jencina, parents, siblings and son-in-law Roy.
