. At age 33, he was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 after a tragic faming accident. Jeffrey will be remembered for his contagious smile and sense of humor. Jeffrey was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church Friedensau by Pastor Benson and later confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Deshler by Pastor Moll. He attended

from kindergarten to eighth grade and Deshler public school from ninth grade through the twelfth. He pursued his education in agriculture business at

Community College

Hastings

Nebraska
. It was there he met his soul mate, best friend, and future wife Kelli Harvey. Kelli and Jeffrey were united in marriage at
St. John's
Catholic Church in
Stapleton
,
Nebraska
on August 14, 1999. They began their life together on a farm west of Deshler. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Conner Jeffrey age five and Lakin Elizabeth age eight months. Jeffrey enjoyed farming, woodworking, playing his trumpet, and most of all spending time with his family. Some of his favorite family outings included camping and fishing trips, toy shows, and four-wheeler riding. He was a true "kid-at-heart." Jeffrey was preceded in death by his infant child Morgan Rae; brother, Phillip Lee; and grandparents Hulda Schardt and Roy Holtzen. He will be forever remembered by his wife Kelli, children Conner and Lakin of their home; parents Marvin and Diane Schardt, rural Hebron; brothers and sisters Amy Weatherl and husband Brandt, Bennet, Jennifer Schardt and special friend Nick Worcester, Salina, KS, and Jeremy Schardt and wife Addisin, rural Carleton; grandparents Luella and Delbert Holtzen and Ralph Schardt; mother & father-n-law Chris and Bud Harvey, Stapleton; brothers-in-law Aaron and wife Joy Harvey, Ryan and wife Andi Harvey, Lincoln; nieces and nephews Chloe Weatherl, Jaxon Harvey, Brooke and Stella Harvey; very special friends Gary and Rose Baden; aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
