Joan Marie Haile

Joan M. Haile, the daughter of Harold and Helen (Egger) Duryea, was born October 5, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. She passed from this life on Tuesday, November 12 2013 at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 84 years.

Joan grew up in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Rockaway High School. She worked for the F. W. Woolworth Co. as a Window Dresser until moving to California. There she worked for North American Rockwell Food Service as a Dietary Supervisor. Joan later moved to Hebron in 2003. She loved to crochet and was an avid animal lover.

Those that preceded her in death are her parents; her husband, Neff; and brothers, Harold Duryea and Dan Duryea.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses; Darlene Long of Hebron, NE, John (Patsy) Burnett of Glascow, KY, Susan (Glenn) Stanfill of Indio, CA, and Frederick Burnett of Brownwood, TX; a sister, Helen Seabald of Phoenicia, NY; and 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
