Karl Friedrich Ludwig, son of Albert and Berta (Haessler) Ludwig was born July 8, 1938 near Deshler, Nebraska. He passed from this life Thursday, June 16, 2016 at his home near Ruskin, Nebraska at the age of 77 years. Karl was baptized on July 31, 1938 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Ruskin and later confirmed at Peace Lutheran, Deshler on April 6, 1952. He attended St. Mark’s Lutheran and Ruskin public schools during his elementary years. He graduated from Deshler High School with the Class of 1956. Karl spent his life farming and raising cattle. He was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler. Karl was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Berta and several aunts and uncles. He will be forever remembered by his sister Meta Snyder of Fremont, Nebraska; niece Gayle and Peter Brock, Henderson, Nevada; nephew Dean and Brenda Snyder and girls Lindsey, Ashley Snyder, Omaha, Nebraska; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler, Nebraska with the Reverend Rich Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Julia Pohlmann was the organist and the congregational hymns were Amazing Grace, Just As I Am, and Till We Meet Again. Casket bearers were Todd, Rick, Mark, Matt, and Mike Ludwig and David Larkins. Memorials in Karl’s honor may be made to the church. Ahrendts-Urbauer-Price Funeral Homes of Deshler, Davenport, and Hebron, Nebraska were entrusted with these arrangements.
