Kurtis Todd Wiemers was born August 7,1971 in Lincoln, Nebraska at St Elizabeth Hospital. He passed away on March 5, 2024, in Hebron, Nebraska. At the age of 4 days old he was adopted by Merle and Marilyn (Will) Wiemers of Beatrice, Nebraska. On December 19th, 1971 he was baptized into the Christian faith at the First Christian Church in Beatrice, Nebraska by minister George Warren Campbell.
Kurt grew up in Beatrice attending grade school and high school, graduating in 1989. He attended a 2 year program for computers in Omaha after graduation. Kurt was a movie buff and an avid listener to music. There wasn’t hardly a day would go by without him listening to music.
Kurt met Kristi Jeardoe in June of 2005 on a blind date set up by his friend Dave, not knowing that Dave’s better half Cherrie had known Kristi for years prior. Kurt didn’t like Kristi at first and Kristi didn’t like Kurt. Not sure what happened because they both kept ending up at Dave and Cherrie’s place.
In December of 2005 Kurt proposed to Kristi after asking Leonard and Deanna’s permission for Kristi’s hand in marriage over the phone. Kurt hated to do it that way but had no choice, Leonard and Deanna were in Florida. Kurt always said I got their permission and Uncle Marion’s, I’m good!!!
On September 22,2007 Kristi and Kurt were united in marriage at The Community Church with Pastor Steve officiating. They had no children but they have a 4-legged most lovable boy named Kirby that Kurt took care of during the day while Kristi was at work.
Kurt is survived by his wife Kristi of Hebron, Nebraska, beloved dog Kirby of the home, mother-in-law Deanna Jeardoe, Hebron, Nebraska, brother-in-law Patrick Jeardoe and wife Dawn, Beatrice, Nebraska, Niece Kalynn Jeardoe Beatrice, Nebraska, cousins and other relatives.
