Landyn Haize Wilson (son of Byron and Jasmyn) was born February 28, 2024, at Mary Lanning Hastings, Nebraska and went ahead of us to be with Jesus in Heaven on June 5, 2024, at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, Nebraska at the age of three months and eight days.
Landyn was the youngest of five children and loved dearly by his big brothers, sister, mom and dad and all who were honored to meet him during his short time on earth. He was an amazing baby boy who touched so many lives in such a brief time. Landyn loved cuddling with his parents, laughing at his brothers, and holding his sister’s finger.
He was greeted in Heaven by maternal great-grandma Lee Ann Sisson, great-uncle Daniel Juarez; paternal great-grandparents Gerald (Bud) and Margie Smalley, and great aunt Viola Peace-Smalley.
Landyn is survived by his loving parents, Byron and Jasmyn (Juarez) Wilson, proud big brothers Xavier Lee, Matthew Vincent, Jeremy Ray, and big sister Saphira LeeAnn, all of Deshler, Nebraska;
Maternal grandparents - Melissa Juarez (Jim Berry) of Benedict, Nebraska; Kenneth Denny of Rawlins, Wyoming; great-grandfather George Sisson of Deerlodge, Montana;
Maternal aunts - Brittni (Tyler) Nowlin of Grand Junction, Colorado; Dawnika Redman of Cornville, Arizona; and Jamie Mathis (and girls) of Deshler, Nebraska.
Paternal grandparents – Tracy Ann Smalley (Rick Millard) of Clay Center, Nebraska; Byron (Pam) Wilson, Sr. of O’Neal, Nebraska.
Paternal aunts/uncles – Bambi (Baltazar) Rodriguez, Natalie Wilson (Jeremy Eacker), and Krissy Montgomery of Grand Island, Nebraska; Larry Montgomery of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Landyn also leaves behind a host of cousins, friends, and friends who are like family. Landyn will always remain his parents’ precious baby boy and they have hope in the promise that they will be with him again in Heaven.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at St Peter Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Deshler, Nebraska with Pastor Brian Francik officiating. Musical selections will be “Dancing in the Sky” by Dani and Lizzy, “The Old Rugged Cross” by Alan Jackson, “Chain Breaker” by Zach Williams, and “You’ll Be in My Heart” by Phil Collins.
Byron and Jasmyn ask those attending Landyn’s Celebration of Life wear shades of blue and white.
Family will gather in the meeting room at the church 45 minutes prior to the service for music, fellowship, and prayer. A luncheon will be held at Peace Lutheran Church parish hall, 535 3rd Street in Deshler immediately following the service. Memorials are directed to the family in care of the funeral home.
