Leona Buffum

Leona Buffum, age 79 of Hebron, passed from this life Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron. She was born on July 12, 1936 in Iowa City, Iowa to Charles and Carmen (Thomas) Buffum.

As a young child she lived at the Annie Wittenmeyer Home in Davenport, Iowa. Throughout her life Leona worked as a waitress and laundry assistant. She came to live at the Blue Valley Lutheran Care Home in September 2001.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Leona is survived by her daughter Pamela Coto, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Direct cremation services were chosen and a graveside service will be held on December 15, 2015, at 1:00 PM in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hebron.
