by Reverend Henry Dumler. Four children were born to this family: Mary Lee, Marsha, Marla, & Lon. Her favorite things were spending time at the grand kids' events - ball games, concerts, track meets, going to church, shopping, drinking coffee with her friends, and taking care of her flowers in her yard. She loved sewing and was always challenged by figuring out clothing and craft patterns. She made blue jean quilts, baby quilts, and over 200 fleece blankets over the years. She enjoyed cooking and baking and always had something for her kids when they would get home from school. She enjoyed collecting apples, Precious Moments figurines, Longaberger baskets, and anything pink. She loved music and encouraged all of her kids to take piano lessons so they could accompany at church and school events. She always wanted to dress in pink and even decorated with pink in her home. She loved her cats and was always happy when the cat would take a nap with her in the afternoon. After all of her surgeries, Fairview Manor became her second home. She made many friends with the residents as well as the staff. She had one special friend at the home, Spec, a cat that was always in her room with her. Our family, as well as Lila, was always very impressed with her care and always made us feel like we were at home. After marriage, she helped dad on the family farm where they lived all of their married life. She was a lifelong member of the
Bethel
Church
of the Brethren, serving with the Ladies Aid for many years. She was a member of the Bruning Federated Women's Club, just attending their 90 year celebration in
