Lillian I. Zoch

Lillian Zoch, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Vorderstrasse) Potthast, was born December 22, 1920 in rural Deshler, NE. She passed from this life on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 92 years. Lillian grew up in Deshler and attended District 8 School.

Lillian was united in marriage to Erwin Zoch on March 7, 1943 at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler by Pastor Scherwin. The union was blessed with seven children.

Lillian enjoyed vegetable gardening, cooking and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Those that preceded her in death are her parents; her husband, Erwin; her infant daughter; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; a son-in-law, Richard; and a daughter-in-law, Sherry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses; Martin Zoch of Shiner, TX, Sylvia Dittmer of Hastings, NE, Norman (Margaret) Zoch of Lincoln, Linda (Bruce) Pincsak of Lincoln, Lola (Virgil) Ralston of Deshler, NE and Wayne (Sheri) Zoch of Fairbury, NE; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ahrendts Funeral Home in Deshler. Interment will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery on Thursday, October 17, 2013. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler.
