Lori Ann Mitchell

Lori Ann Mitchell was born on February 24, 1957 in Delano, CA. She passed away peacefully on Friday August 2nd in Lincoln, NE at the age of 67. Lori was the daughter of Joseph Barton Williams and Jerry Ann (Ragsdale) Williams. She grew up in Bakersfield, CA with her three older siblings Philip, Keith and Diane. She graduated from North High School where she played the piccolo in the marching band. Lori married Chuck Mitchell on March 20, 1976. Together they had two children, Jennifer and Kevin, who Lori stayed home to care for and raise. The family moved to Hebron, Nebraska in December of 1997 where she joined the workforce as a cook for Thayer County Health Services, serving there for 17 years. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, being with her family, caring for her many pets, bowling on the women’s league as long as her knees would allow, yelling out mostly correct answers to gameshow network and making sure everyone was caught up with the latest current events and the funniest viral videos.

She was preceded in death by her Father Joseph Barton “Bart” Williams, Mother Jerry Ann (Ragsdale) Williams and Sister Diane Williams. She will be remembered by her Husband of 48-years Chuck Mitchell, Daughter Jennifer Mostek and her Husband Adam Mostek, Son Kevin Mitchell and his Wife Mindy Mitchell. Grandchildren Aiden and Jacob Mostek; Caitlyn, Talan, Rylen, Declan and Kasen Mitchell. Brother Philip Williams and his wife Marcia and Brother Keith Williams as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of her life will take place at Hebron Bible Church in Hebron, Nebraska on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 5:00 pm.
