Lorie L. Eitzmann

On May 11, 2015, our loving Lord called home Lorie L. (Hoops) Eitzmann, at the age of 62 years. She was born on January 24, 1953. She was given a loving Christian home by Rudolph and Hilda (Tietjen) Hoops.

She was baptized on January 21, 1962, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Byron. She was confirmed on May 28, 1967 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Byron. Lorie attended school at Byron Public School where she graduated high school.

She married Wayne Eitzmann on February 23, 1974, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Byron. They celebrated 41 years of happiness this year.

She worked at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Homes and MC Medical Supply.

At the time of her death they were making their home in Hebron.

Lorie belonged to Women’s Circle and Extension Club. She taught Sunday School and Bible School. She loved doing needlework and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Larry. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne; brother Gary Hoops of Beatrice; sister, Rose Reemers and husband, Dale of Bruning;and sister-in-law, Audrey Hoops of Deshler; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
