Luella Margaret (Wedeking) Rachow Weaver of Lincoln , was born on July 27, 1923. She was the daughter of Christopher and Ida (Trebold) Wedeking of Ohiowa, NE. After suffering congestive heart failure she passed away on October 31, 2012 at The Legacy in Lincoln , NE at the age of 89. Luella was baptized at Ohiowa Lutheran Church and was confirmed at Gilead St. Paul Lutheran Church in 1938. Luella attended school in both Campbell and Hebron , Nebraska . Luella lived in various towns, including Ohiowa, Campbell, Hebron , Carleton, Alexandria , Mission ( Texas ), York, and Lincoln , Nebraska . Luella was married to two wonderful husbands during her lifetime. On December 18, 1949 she married Harvey Rachow at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron and they lived on the family farm near Carleton until Harvey passed away on May 10, 1970. On October 1, 1972 Luella married Burton Blaine Weaver at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron and lived on the family farm near Alexandria for many years. They bought Blaine 's parent's home in Alexandria and moved their when they retired. They were members of the Alexandria United Presbyterian Church where Luella was a deacon of the women's association. In their retirement years they traveled to various states in their motor home and finally built a home in Mission , Texas and lived there from 1993-2005. In 2005 they moved to York . Luella moved to The Legacy in Lincoln in May 2006 to be closer to her family. Luella was a great cook and was well known for her wonderful rolls, pies and delicious family dinners. She also loved to do embroidery work. She created several beautiful pieces for her family until her arthritis made it impossible to embroider. Luella was preceded in death by her parents Chris and Ida Wedeking, her step-dad Charles Day, her first husband Harvey Rachow, her second husband Burton Blaine Weaver, mother-in-law and father-in-law George and Minnie Rachow and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Dorothy and Arnold Josten, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Ralph and Edna Weaver and Weaver siblings, Bob and Doris Bell, Leroy and Joyce Weaver, Francis and Ed Higel, and her brother-in-law Bill Wilson. Luella is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Lane Johnson of Lincoln, three grandchildren Brian Johnson of rural Seward, Jason Johnson of Lincoln, and Justin and wife Amy Johnson of Lincoln, and seven great grandchildren, Grace, Gregory, Lillian, Damien, Gemma, Paul, and Luke Johnson and sister-in-law Wilda Wilson of Blair, who was like a sister to her, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
