Mark E. Reinwald

Mark Edwin Reinwald was born August 27, 1941, at Fairbury, Nebraska, to Edwin Henry and Rhoda Mary (Bower) Reinwald. In September 1954, Mark went to live with Henry and Ida Virus and they became his legal guardians in 1957. He attended schools at Alexandria, Daykin, Fairbury, and Hubbell, Nebraska. Mark was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church, Hebron, Nebraska, on November 17, 1954 and confirmed April 14, 1957, at Grace Lutheran by Rev. G.J. Meyer. His confirmation verse was John 10:27: "My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me." Mark was a life long member of Grace Lutheran Church. On June 20, 1965, he married Sherry Garrison, at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Minneman performing the ceremony. To this union three daughters were born: Lisa DeeAnn, Tina Michelle and Kami Nicole. Mark was a farmer at heart and loved all aspects of his farming operation. He also enjoyed gardening, cutting wood and collecting tools. He was also a collector of shot glasses, eagles and tractor miniatures. Mark was John Wayne’s biggest fan! He treasured his and Sherry’s Sunday road trips with Marj & Delm that usually ended with "ice cream." Mark will always be remembered by his wife of 53 years, Sherry Reinwald; daughters Lisa (Les) Dykens, Overland Park, KS, Tina (Jeremy) Trotter, Grand Island, NE, and Kami (Mike) Alessandro, Omaha, NE; five grandsons, Brandon Trotter, Sam Alessandro, Ben Alessandro, William Dykens, Zac Dykens; granddaughter Maria Alessandro; and great granddaughter Autumn Dykens; other relatives and a host of friends. Mark Reinwald passed from this life peacefully with his family, at his home, in rural Hebron, Nebraska, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the age of 77 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ida Virus, Edwin and Rhoda Reinwald; brothers Vernon Lee, Richard Dale and Kenneth Donald; and sister Mariann Rose Neeper.
