Visitation: 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, April 19, 2012 at funeral home Services: 2:00pm Friday, April 20, 2012 at Price Funeral Home Interment: Gilead Union Cemetery Memorials: To the Family's Choice Maxine Ann (Borovicka) Messing 72, of Lincoln, Nbraska died of medical complications from COPD, and Lung Cancer, on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Lancaster Manor in Lincoln, NE. Maxine A Messing was born to John V. Borovicka and Sarah C. Borovicka (Bodtke) on February 11, 1940 in Hebron, NE. She was raised on the family farm near Hubbell NE., at age 7 she moved to Hebron, where she attend Grade School and High School. She married Robert Messing in 1960 and lived in Chester until 1968 when the family moved to Lincoln. She continued to live in Lincoln, until her death. Maxine graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1972. Maxine worked as a hair dresser, social worker, insurance agent, and a counselor for Ceders Home for Children until her retirement in 2005. Maxine enjoyed gardening and reading. She was a very caring person, who gave all she had to ones she loved and cared for. Maxine loved to read her Bible and enjoyed her family and friends. She enjoyed Psalms 105, 106, 103, 51, and 13. Maxine is survived by her only son, Richard R Messing, and two grandchildren Todd R. Messing and Mikayla Messing, all of Lincoln, Ne. She was proceded in death by her parents John and Sarah, and Robert R Messing. Funeral services were held Friday, April 20, 2012 at Price Funeral Home, Hebron, Nebraska with Pastor Keith Brozek officiating. Burial was in Gilead Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family's choice. Price Funeral Home, Hebron, Nebraska was in charge of these arrangements.
