Peggy Lee Glass, daughter of Louis and Barbara (Jones) Benda, was born May 27, 1951 at Shelby, Nebraska. She had many fun times with her sister JoAnn and their friends. Growing up in the Shelby community she attended the public schools and graduated from Shelby High School with the Class of 1969.Peggy worked various jobs throughout her life. For many years she worked in production for Thermo King manufacturing. On October 7, 1978 she was married to Raymond L. Glass. Together they raised five children: Melinda, Scott, Tiffany, Chad, and Tim. Peggy lived a short but long happy life. Her and Ray have had many great memories. They raised there children with love and support. They went on many fishing trips to the river. They loved to travel to see family and spent many weekends going back to Peggy's home town to stay with her mother. Peggy finally felt more at home when she moved to the quiet town of Oak. They would go on gambling trips many which involved taking Barbara. She enjoyed anything outside. In shorts and a t-shirt with no shoes was what made Peggy the happiest. She enjoyed watching all her grandkids and great-grandkids grow. Going to auctions and collecting Oil Lamps was one of her many passions. She helped in her community whenever she could with Ray right along her side. Peggy and Ray had and still have a never ending love. In her ending days Ray was right by her side and her family never leaving her. Her journey on Earth may have been short but it was the happiest.
