Peggy Ann Johnson

Peggy Ann (Kluver) Johnson, of Papillion, Nebraska, departed this life on July 11, 2019, in Bellevue, Nebraska, at the age of 74. Peggy was born June 22, 1945 to Arthur and Doris (Connor) Kluver in Hastings, Nebraska. She was baptized in the Presbyterian Church in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1963. After graduation, she attended Kearney State College and subsequently worked at Hastings State Bank in Hastings. She was united in marriage to Victor Johnson on December 30, 1967. They moved to Omaha where she worked at Omaha National Bank, and soon after, moved to rural Deshler and raised their four children on an acreage. Peggy was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, where she taught Sunday School and was involved in several committees. She also enjoyed working at Deshler Public School as a Teacher’s Aide and a Speech Communications para-professional. Victor and Peggy retired to Papillion, NE in 2012 and have been active in the Thanksgiving Lutheran Church. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a good friend whose focus always centered around her family. She enjoyed gardening, baking, quilting, traveling, spending time with family and friends and attending grandkids’ events. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are Victor, her husband of more than 51 years; daughter Richone (Jason) Owens of Bellevue NE, son Jay (Priscilla) Johnson of Bluffton SC, son Jeff (Anne) Johnson of Lincoln NE, Wendy Johnson of Houston TX; nine grandchildren – Tegan, Trista, Madison, Chase, Grant, Luke, Clara, Josie and Lauren; brothers - John (Sherry) Kluver, Mike (Cathie) Kluver, Steve (Suzanne) Kluver, all of Fairfield NE; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law - Edna Johnson of Davenport NE, Basil & Ilene Johnson of Lincoln NE, and Gayle & Gwen Johnson of Davenport NE; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14 ^th , from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with the family present from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Ahrendts Funeral Home in Deshler.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 15, 2019, at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE. Burial will be held in the Davenport City Cemetery, Davenport, NE.
