Raymond E. Lang

Raymond E. Lang passed away September 21, 2011 at Rosebrook Care Center in Edgar , NE at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 19 days.

Raymond was born on October 2, 1926 on a farm near Nelson, NE. He attended school in Nelson and graduated with the class of 1945. Raymond was united in marriage on October 12, 1957 at Christ Lutheran Church in Davenport , NE to Theora Hoins. To this union two children were born; Debra and David.

Raymond and his wife lived on their farm near Davenport before moving to town in 1990. He continued farming until his retirement in 2004. He shared his love for horses by being a member of the AQHA and circle CTN saddle club.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; William H. Lang and Emma Marie Tonns.

He is survived by two children; Debra Burris and husband Ray of Waynesville , MO , and David L. Lang and wife Charolette of Glenrock , WY . Two sisters; Violet Ferebee and husband Gene of Nelson, NE, and Irene Anderson and husband Elmer, Jr. of Overton, NE. One brother; Leroy Lang and wife Billie of Roswell, NM. Six grandchildren; Benjamin Burris, Brandy Tillery and husband Michael, Kelsey Lang, Bethany Lang, Beau Lang, and Emily Lang. Three great-grandchildren; Gage Tillery, Raegan Burris, and Graison Tillery.

Funeral Service: Saturday, September 24, at 10:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church in Davenport, Nebraska

Visitation: Friday, September 23, from 1-8 PM with Family Greeting from 6-8 PM at Urbauer-Price Funeral Home in Davenport, Nebraska

Interment: Davenport City Cemetery immediately following funeral service
