Richard Craig Hoffmeyer, son of Albert & Marilyn (Maschmann) Hoffmeyer, was born November 6, 1952 at Deshler, Nebraska. Growing up in the Deshler community, he attended the public schools and graduated from Deshler High School with the Class of 1971. Richard began farming with his father and continued with his brother Russell until his untimely death. He was an avid hunter and collector of guns and motorcycles. Richard passed from this life at his home south of Deshler on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the age of 59 years. He will be forever remembered by his brother Russell (Julie & Jessica) Hoffmeyer, Deshler; sisters Jan (Greg) Hornbostel, Deshler, Mary (Lindsay) French, Garland, NE, June Robbins, and Jane Ryan of Los Angeles, CA; nieces and nephews Chris (Marita), Cody, Wendy, Paxton, Jessica, Matthew, Blake, and Brett; other relatives and friends.
