Stanley Ray Baden passed away suddenly on December 6, 2024, at the age of 68 in Lincoln Nebraska. He was born in Deshler to Christoph and Ella (Schmidt) Baden, one of eleven children on August 17, 1956. Stan grew up on a farm near Hebron and was baptized and confirmed at the Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron, NE. He graduated from Hebron High School in 1974. Stan married Christine Burkey on August 17, 1990 and were happily married for 34 years. With this marriage, they were blessed with four children; Michaela, Chelsea, Bridgette and Benjamen who he loved VERY VERY MUCH. Together they owned and operated the Brand X Saloon in Hebron. Stan later owned and operated Stan Baden Construction. Stan admired his family and would do anything to make them happy. One thing we’ll never forget is the “Stan the Man” wave and his infectious smile.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ella and Christoph; brother, Dale; father-in-law, Dale Gaston; mother-in-law, Rose Gaston; brother-in-law, Darrell Bice; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Schmidt) Baden and Janice (Hoops) Baden; nephews, Charles “Chuck” Baden and Jordan Burkey; nieces, Belinda Bice (Kamler) and Deanna Bice.
Stan is survived by his wife Christine, and four children; Michaela (Kevin Dunn), Chelsea, Bridgette (Scott Eckel), and Benjamen; four grandchildren, Brodrick, Charlotte, Carter and Makenna; brothers, Marvin Baden and his wife Sharon, Clarence Baden and his wife Anne, Gary Baden and his wife Rose Ann, Don Baden, Leo Baden; sisters, Helen Bice, Alice Baden, Rose Johnson and her husband Luke, JoAnn McDermott and her husband Doug; sisters-in-law, Nancy Baden, Deb Lee and husband Joel; brothers-in-law, Terry Burkey and his wife Kelli, Mike Burkey and his wife Denise; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron with Pastor Keith A. Brozek officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 12 from 7:00 P.M. – 9 P.M. at Price Funeral Home, 210 South 3rd Street, Hebron NE 68370. The family invites you to share your memories of Stan with them during a luncheon immediately following the committal service at the Grace Lutheran Church.
