Velora M. King, age 88, entered into Eternal Life with her Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Thayer County Health Services, Hebron, Nebraska. She was born on February 23, 1936, in Ottawa, Kansas to Raymond and Mattie (Fisher) Miskimon.
She graduated from Williamsburg High School in Williamsburg, Kansas.
She married Victor Venables and to this marriage a daughter was born Victoria. They later divorced. She then married Melvin King and later divorced.
She was a member of the Holiness Church in Altamont, Kansas. She lived by God’s amazing love and grace, as her faith was an essential part of her life.
Velora was a Med Aide at the State Hospital in Parsons, Kansas.
Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, bingo, crossword puzzles, watching westerns, attending basketball games, and most of all she loved spending time with her beloved family and friends. Especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Lehmann, Hiawatha, KS; two grandchildren, Sha Scheuerman, and her two children Kelby and Shandi, Osborne, KS; Josh Scheuerman and his daughter Lilly Scheuerman, Chester, NE; a brother, Donnie Miskimon, Beaumont, TX.
She was preceded by her parents, Raymond and Mattie, three brothers, Raymond, Ralph and Roy Miskimon and her two sisters, Carolee Wright and Verna George.
A graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Williamsburg, Kansas, with Pastor Jeremy Morford officiating.
There will be no visitation.
